Ajit K. Amesur, D.O.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Ajit Amesur graduated from The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He continued on to Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Amesur then underwent an orthopaedic surgery residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas. Refining his training, he then completed a hand fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
As a fellowship-trained hand surgeon, Dr. Amesur is extremely passionate about the care he provides. He specializes in a wide range of treatments and procedures for the hand, wrist, and elbow, including carpal tunnel surgery, trigger finger and de Quervain’s release, thumb joint replacement, wrist arthroscopy, nerve and tendon repair, nerve and tendon transfers, and fracture fixation.
In his approach to care, Dr. Amesur aims to treat all of his patients with the same level of care that he would expect for himself or a family member. He believes in utilizing a team approach, collaborating with each patient in decision-making, and ensuring open communication and trust are integral components of the doctor-patient relationship.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Amesur has a strong interest in martial arts and has even won multiple world championship titles.
