Notice of Data Event

Las Vegas, NV – On or about August 7, 2026, Desert Orthopaedic Center (“DOC”) learned of a potential data privacy incident. Upon discovery, DOC began a comprehensive response and investigation with the assistance of third-party specialists. The investigation determined that certain DOC information may have been accessed or copied without authorization. While DOC’s investigation into the scope of potential impact remains ongoing, the information believed to have been potentially involved varies by individual and may include an individual’s name and one or more of the following: contact information, date of birth, Social Security number, treatment/diagnosis information, prescription/medication information, dates of service, provider name, provider location, medical record number, patient account number, Medicare/Medicaid ID number, health insurance information, and/or medical billing/claims information. Upon completion of its data review, DOC will mail notice letters to the potentially affected individuals for whom it has address information.
Upon learning of this event, DOC took steps to complete an investigation and ensure its environment was secure. Although DOC has no reason to believe any information has been or will be misused as a result of this matter, in an abundance of caution, DOC is offering those who may be impacted complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services at no cost. Individuals are encouraged to take proactive steps to protect themselves, including reviewing credit reports/account statements and explanation of benefits forms for suspicious activity and to detect errors. Individuals may also place a fraud alert or credit freeze by contacting the credit reporting agencies: TransUnion 1-800-680-7289, P.O. Potentially impacted individuals can further educate themselves regarding identity theft, fraud alerts, credit freezes, and steps to protect their personal information by contacting the credit reporting bureaus, the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”), or their state Attorney General.
