Dr. Troy Watson Contributes to New Study on Ankle Fracture Rehabilitation
We are proud to announce that Dr. Troy Watson has contributed to a newly published research study focused on improving recovery after ankle fracture surgery using a fibular nail.
The study, published in the European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology, examined the wide variation in rehabilitation protocols used by surgeons following this procedure. These differences can make recovery confusing for patients. The goal of the research team was to review the evidence and help establish clearer, more consistent guidelines for when patients should begin walking, moving, and starting physical therapy.
Dr. Watson’s involvement reflects his ongoing commitment to evidence-based care and improving outcomes for patients recovering from ankle injuries.
